Project Description

The fertility window is limited by time, but can be extended by freezing eggs, sperm, or embryos for future pregnancies.

Time is on your side.

The ability to cryopreserve or freeze eggs, sperm, or embryos is one of the greatest achievements in fertility health.

Here are the details:

  • Freezing eggs can allow more time for genetic screening and for the uterus to return to normal after IVF medication.

  • It can also decrease risks such as preterm labor or preeclampsia and multiple fertilized eggs resulting in twins or more.

  • After IVF, most couples have remaining embryos that can be cryopreserved for future pregnancies.

In cases where the fertility window is closing, but pregnancy is not an option, unfertilized eggs or sperm can be frozen for future fertilization and pregnancy.
