Laboratory Director
Dr. Christensen has over twenty years of hands-on experience working as a laboratory technician, director, and consultant for assisted reproduction programs, Dr. Greg Christensen, Ph.D., brings a high level of expertise to the Conceptions Fertility Center Andrology and IVF laboratories. He understands that patient success depends on a combination of careful quality management combined with the latest in diagnostic and treatment protocols. He believes that the role of the Laboratory Director and laboratory staff includes educating and informing patients about their options, care, and outcomes in an honest and open manner.
Dr. Christensen is originally from Robin, Idaho, where he enjoyed growing up on the family farm. He received his Bachelor’s of Science from Brigham Young University and his doctorate from the University of Utah. While there, his research focused on the genetic causes of male infertility, and he has authored a number of scientific articles on this topic. In recent years, he has developed a strong interest in fertility preservation and has helped develop techniques to collect, mature, and preserve eggs from the ovarian tissue of cancer and bone marrow transplant patients. Since completion of his doctorate he has directed multiple academic and private fertility laboratories across the United States. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, cooking, fishing, backpacking, riding his horse and watching his four boys grow up.
